Stop press ...! Lee Abbey Conference.

From the Big Bang to Biology: Do we detect the Hand of God? – Lee Abbey Devon
Although there will be much talk of science, our hope is that it will also be a Spirit-filled time of discussion and rest in beautiful surroundings, recalling a quote by Francis Collins, formally Director of the US component of the Human Genome Project, ‘Science is not threatened by God; it is enhanced. God is certainly not threatened by science; He made it all possible’.
The conference week coincides with the Spring Equinox, heralding the beginning of Spring, presenting a wonderful opportunity to witness once again the renewal of the natural world. Lee Abbey has its own beach, and a 280-acre estate of beautiful coastal countryside. The South West Coastal Path passes through the estate, and the Exmoor National Park is just a short drive away. The meeting takes place before the clocks change so that nightfall occurs early in the evening, hopefully revealing the amazing night sky (weather permitting!). The site is on the edge of the Exmoor National Park Dark Sky Reserve.
Lee Abbey, Devon offers all that you need for a relaxing, inspiring and potentially transformative week away, and we look forward to seeing you there!
Go to the Reviews page to see latest review in the Journal of Science and Christian Belief by Andrew Halestrap who is Emeritus Professor of Biochemistry and Senior Research Fellow at the University of Bristol and former chair of Christians in Science.
Living organisms arriving in new areas may integrate nicely OR they may cause havoc. See John's September blog post in which he takes a look at some examples of each.
